Kintsugi Professional – Train-the-Trainer Live Course (2 mornings)
This course is aimed at people in advisory, educational, or therapeutic roles and builds on the introductory course. It expands your knowledge with methodological and didactic perspectives from a train-the-trainer approach.
Dates & Organization:
Friday, September 5, 2025
Tuesday, September 9, 2025
9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Live via Zoom
(We work in a small group. If there are any scheduling conflicts, please contact us in advance so we can find alternative dates together via Doodle.)
What you will learn from the Kintsugi live course:
Self-acceptance through imperfection: You learn not to hide personal flaws and weaknesses, but to integrate them as valuable parts of your life story.
Healing inner wounds: With targeted reflection and writing exercises, you reconstruct hurtful experiences and transform them into resources for your growth.
Resilience from vulnerability: You develop an attitude in which vulnerability becomes a source of inner strength – after each “break” you are better anchored.
Mindful self-care: Guided rituals and short meditations anchor conscious breaks in everyday life and promote sustainable self-healing.
Holistic self-image: You strengthen your confidence in your own identity by appreciating and bringing together all facets of your life – even the “fragmented” ones.
Connectedness through exchange: The live dialogue with other participants opens up a protected space in which shared stories connect and open up new perspectives.
Learning objectives:
After this course you will be able to...
- to explain and instruct the eight KINTSUGI elements (Kindness, Investigation, Notice, Touch, Stillness, Utensil, Gold, Intention).
- Use interventions such as Safe Place, Vault, Ground Anchor and Lifeline appropriately in the situation.
- to apply didactic principles for face-to-face and online formats.
- to accompany and integrate biographical breaks in a resource-oriented manner.
- Developing a personal attitude towards dealing with breaks and passing this on as a companion or facilitator – this strengthens your inner alignment, regardless of whether you work directly or indirectly with biographical breaks or the Kintsugi metaphor.
Course content & approaches:
Didactics & Attitude – Transfer to professional contexts: Deepening the train-the-trainer attitude for professional use.
Narrative work & symbol practice – creating spaces of resonance: Deepen your biographical approach through insights from narrative exposure therapy.
Method kit – exercises, materials, tools : A collection of practice-oriented tools for your work.
Supervision & Integration – Casework, Reflection: Deepen your knowledge through practical casework and reflection.
Philosophical & Integrative Framework: This course not only introduces you to the Japanese philosophical concepts of Kintsugi, Wabi Sabi, and Ikigai, along with their connection to logotherapy. It also integrates resource-enhancing approaches from third-wave cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, compassion research, and the attitude of connectedness, inspired by the work of Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. James Doty. Kintsugi is understood here as an integrative approach: biographical, mindful, and meaningful.
